Victory Under the Pyramids for Jack Catterall

Some nights in boxing, everything finally clicks. The hard camps, the critical decisions, the anticipation – they all fall away the second your hand gets raised. Jack Catterall had that night in Egypt.

Fighting beneath the Pyramids of Giza on the Usyk undercard, our Canvas Athletic ambassador stepped in with Shakhram Giyasov. The Uzbek came in undefeated. Seventeen wins, ten knockouts. The bookmakers liked him. The pundits talked about his speed and his power. Nobody told Jack.

He dropped Giyasov in the very first round with a sharp left hand that landed clean and sent a proper message. This wasn't going to be close. This wasn't going to be controversial. From that moment on, Jack controlled everything. His jab was relentless. His footwork kept him out of danger. Every time Giyasov tried to step forward, he walked into a combination that snapped his head back.

By the fifth round, the fight felt done. Jack just kept working. He opened a cut on Giyasov's nose in the sixth and never let him breathe. When the final bell went, the scorecards were wide: 119‑108, 118‑109, 116‑111. A proper, undeniable win.

Afterwards, an emotional Jack said he was the happiest man in the world. He gave credit to Giyasov, then said he wasn't going to be denied. You could hear the years of work in his voice, but also the relief. He's waited a long time for a night like this.

Through the whole camp, Jack trained in Canvas. On the early mornings, he wore the Black/Dark Grey Water‑Resistant District Track Jacket – lightweight, breathable, doesn't slow you down. For the sessions themselves, he trusted the Technical Core 7" Shorts. Four‑way stretch, clean fit, moves with every pivot and feint. A fighter needs kit that disappears when he works. That's what these pieces do.

Now Jack has the WBA welterweight belt. He's already talking about unifying the division. He said he'll be back in the gym next week. No rest. No blank days.

That's why he's Canvas. That's why we're proud.

Well in, Jack. You earned every bit of it.
